Big Easy does what it says on the tin! Two newbies joined a table of 10 sat in 20mins after a pleasant beer at the bar. An extensive menu, although a Chelsea tax meant prices were a little high if you didn’t go with the mid week specials (Lobster and AYCE BBQ), No sides with an £18 steak is a little pricey in my eyes. Service was swift, efficient and friendly. Note: Go one level down from your usual steak order, I ordered med/rare and got medium. Overall this typical saloon bar venue did most things right but not perfect.

First ever EC London! Where else but Brick Lane. Conj chose this no nonsense BYO Curry house, the only place without a tout (good sign). This sparsely decorated eatery lacked the usual charm of a typical Indian restaurant and the asbestos ceiling tiles were slightly worrying. But with the food when it arrived (service was a little slow even though the place wasn't busy) all problems faded away. It was delicious, watch the jalfrezi its hot! 7 of us dined for £75 all having starters, main and Sundries. All in all a very successful start to the EC London chapter

Recently opened American diner style establishment is both simple and functional in its decor and its menu as long as you like meat, things with meat, meat on meat! Atkins diet followers this is a place for you but vegetarians will struggle (Jen had had make do with 2 starters). The food is what you expect for an EAYL, hearty, nothing too special, but good value all the same. Decent wine selection and the service was good. Despite the lack of dukes of hazard references a great place to go if you don’t mind feeling full for 3 days!
