Eriki
Indian, London, United Kingdom
Curry time again in London and this time we headed for Eriki, in Swiss Cottage.
We were promptly seated amongst the rather interesting decor, to browse the menu. Not as extensive as some curry houses, but plenty of unusual and tasty looking dishes. Starters were not huge, but the spicy potatoes were well recieved. Main course portions were better and everything was tasty. Service was generally OK, although there was a slight mix-up over the starters - not everyone got what they were expecting.
A little more pricy than your average curry house, but the food was worth it.
Suchard
Thai, London, United Kingdom
'Lets go for a Thai in Southwark' said Sped one night, so we did. Unfortunately, Sped dropped out, but me, Conj and Jennie headed for the simple décor and extensive (and reasonably priced) menu of Suchards. The hearty quantities of aromatic duck were tasty as was the coconut rice which accompanied our mains (sublime). The food was excellent throughout, let down only by poor presentation. Service was somewhat over-attentive - rapid-fire ordering nearly caught Jennie out, saved only by Conj doing some CSA-style slooooooooow ordering to buy time. Well worth a trip (and make sure you have the coconut rice).
