December and another year rolls its weary way round, like some Pagan offering for the return of the sun, the Eat Club sacrifice is made. The collection of the best of company to eat at the best that we can find, which speaks highly of the company but not so well of the state of venues of Newcastle. Tightly packed in an acoustic reflective chamber, an average menu with a few small highlights was served with the most average of service. Lifted vastly by the gathered assembly and Helen’s supreme organisation only left slightly flat by the mediocrity of venue.
